Abandoned Montgomery County Rapid Transit Co. / Montgomery Transit Co. / Skippack & Perkiomen Transit Co. trolley bridge piers carried the trolley line over a stream in Lower Providence Township, near Trooper Road. The houses barely visible through the trees are on Windswept Lane. Visual inspection (with Andy Maginnis) in April 2013 noted that the top of the left wingwall had been coated with white plaster for appearance sake. However, this abutment is broken in half and appears to have been built without the benefit of steel reinforcing bars. Mike Szilagyi photo -- April 2, 2013
