William H. Watts II snapped this photo of SVT no. 117 at Riverside car barn on West Main Street (near Montgomery Avenue) on December 12, 1931. This was the next-to-last day for trolley service between Norristown and Chestnut Hill. The trolleys would continue to run to Collegeville for two more years. (The houses across the street still stand, between a 7-11 and a dry cleaner on Main Street.)
