Newkirk Viaduct Monument
Tour coordinator Joel Spivak explains the significance of the Newkirk Viaduct Monument,
erected in 1839 by the Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore Railroad.
The Newkirk Viaduct stood just south of the present-day Grays Ferry Avenue bridge.
